Matthew Graham

CEO

Matthew Graham, CEO of Sino Global Capital, has seven years of mainland China investment banking experience with a focus on representing international technology companies in China for strategic partnership and investment. Matthew has been involved in blockchain since 2013, first slowly, then all at once. As Managing Partner of Sino Global's Liquid Value blockchain fund Mr. Graham invests in blockchain technology with strategic relevance for China.

Dermot McGrath

Chief of Staff

Dermot McGrath has been in Mainland China since 2014 and has extensive experience in corporate finance, investment analysis, deal making and technology commercialization. Before joining Sino Global Capital he worked as a Finance Manager at HNA Technology, a blue chip Chinese Fortune 500 company. At Sino he participates heavily in deal sourcing, investment strategy and post-investment portfolio support. Dermot’s skills include startup growth, corporate strategy, marketing, market research, programming and web development, and he plays many roles and wears many hats within the Sino Global Capital team. He graduated University College Dublin as well as the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a specialization in Banking and Finance. He also studied Mandarin at the Beijing Language and Culture University.

Ian Wittkopp

COO

Ian Wittkopp has over 6 years of experience working for the Bureau of Labor Statistics in Washington D.C., in both the Budget and Economic Indicators Offices. Before joining Sino Global Capital, he consulted for numerous MNCs including Volkswagen China. Mr. Wittkopp completed his studies at the American University in Washington, D.C. and also attended George Washington University and Beijing Language and Cultural University.

Patrick Loney

General Counsel & Head of Investor Relations

In his seven years living in China, Patrick worked in the legal, financial advisory and trade industries. Patrick’s responsibilities include serving as head lawyer for the Fund, leading fundraising efforts and serving as the Fund LPs’ primary point of contact. From 2014 to 2021, Patrick served primarily Asian legal clients on cross-border M&A, securities compliance and financings. From 2015 to 2018, Patrick was Associate Director and General Counsel of Paragon Partners Asia, a Shanghai-based merchant bank. At Paragon, Patrick sourced foreign investment opportunities for Chinese investors and assisted with legal issues related to cross-border investment transactions.

Haru Chen

Partner

Haru Chen is a serial entrepreneur and investor from China’s Yunnan Province. She has been focused on blockchain since 2015 and is an early investor in numerous successful Ethereum projects.

Hans Xiang

Senior Investment Associate

Hans Xiang is an investment associate at Sino Global Capital. He has over 3 years’ experience in the blockchain industry. Hans is focusing on the blockchain landscape with a special interest in decentralized finance (DeFi). He completed his BSc in Finance & Control at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and has recently finished his MSc in Financial Technology (with distinction) at The University of Glasgow. He has a multilingual background in English, Chinese and Dutch.

Sally Wang

VP, Portfolio Marketing

Sally has 6+ years combined experience in communications and crypto. Started as a Journalist in China state-owned media CGTN and found her passion for crypto. She has guided multiple crypto brands including TokenInsight, Velo Labs, DCG’s Foundry etc

Manuel Bejarano

Investment Associate

Manu (曼努) is a research contributor and investment analyst at Sino Global Capital. As an Applied Math & Economics student at Vanderbilt, Manu simultaneously interned at Sino Global Capital, self-studied Chinese, and accumulated over 4 years of Blockchain and Asset Management exposure before joining SGC full-time. Manu currently manages a speculative, autonomous “ape” fund; allowing for quick and decisive market operations at all times. Manu also produces internal research catalogues, written in both English and Mandarin, presenting promising protocol & product developments.

Thomas Tang

Investment Associate

Thomas has 2+ years of experience in traditional finance, previously working at Citibank across multiple verticals including equities, credit & risk, portfolio & asset management. Simultaneously, he has been deeply entrenched in the crypto space, with a focus on DeFi. He has developed a wide range of competencies in investment analysis, due diligence and risk management. He graduated from the London School of Economics in 2019, majoring in Accounting and Finance.

Chin Wei Han

Investment Associate

Wei Han has over 6 years of product development experience in the Fintech industry. He has had his finger on the pulse of the crypto industry and actively investing and managing his portfolio since 2017. An early participant to the DeFi space, he was top 100 in the Degen Score leaderboard. Now, as a full-time investment analyst at Sino and helps contribute to and advise on Sino’s Opportunity Fund, a fund to be utilized for shorter term market plays, as well as deal sourcing and research.

Ben Poynor

Investment Associate

Ben is an investment analyst at SGC and focuses primarily on conducting research on the underlying technology behind prospective investments, as well as providing infrastructure support e.g. running validator nodes for portfolio companies where applicable.

Gaven Z.

Wealth Management Advisor

Graduating from Shanghai Tongji University, Gaven has work experience at international blue chips like Sony, Chinese blue chips Tencent and Changyou, a subsidiary of Sohu, as well as entrepreneurial experience as a founder of a mobile internet gaming R&D company. He established BlockOrigin Fund in Singapore to invest in blockchain projects around the world.

Alice Li

Alice Li is currently the executive VP in the Department of International Projects Center at SGC. She is mainly responsible for international business development and has a strong linguistics background. Before joining SGB Alice had eight years of cross-cultural business experience, spanning the disciplines of strategic management, marketing, finance and business. Currently, she is pursuing her CFA.
